Shipping & Returns

All orders placed with BarriersUK are fulfilled by Express Matting Services Ltd, based at Unit 1B, The Summit, Manchester Road, Burnley, Lancashire BB11 5HG. We dispatch across the United Kingdom. All prices are in pounds sterling (£). We accept PayPal, Visa, Mastercard and Maestro.

Delivery

How We Deliver

The delivery method depends on the size and weight of your order:

  • Large items (crash barrier rails and posts, bollards, handrail tube, speed bumps, wheel stops) are dispatched on a pallet via specialist pallet courier. Pallet deliveries are kerbside unless otherwise agreed.
  • Smaller items (fixings, fittings, Key Clamp components, corner protectors, small bollards) are dispatched via standard parcel courier with tracking.
  • If your order contains a mix of large and small items, we will combine into the most efficient delivery method.

Dispatch & Lead Times

  • Orders are dispatched from our Burnley depot, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
  • Typical lead time: 2–5 working days from order confirmation for stocked items.
  • Next-day delivery is available on selected stocked lines — get in touch to confirm availability before ordering.
  • Made-to-order and bespoke items (cut-to-length crash barrier rails, custom post configurations) have longer lead times — we will advise at point of order.

Delivery Charges

Delivery charges are calculated at checkout based on the size, weight and destination of your order.

  • Free delivery is available on qualifying orders — conditions apply, see checkout for details.
  • For large pallet orders, multi-pallet consignments, or deliveries to the Scottish Highlands, Islands, Northern Ireland or Channel Islands, please contact us for a delivery quote before ordering.
  • Local trade customers are welcome to collect from our Burnley depot — contact us ahead to arrange.

We deliver throughout the United Kingdom. Additional charges or extended lead times may apply to:

  • Scottish Highlands and Islands
  • Northern Ireland
  • Channel Islands
  • Isle of Man

Returns & Refunds

Returns Policy

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If you need to return an item, the following conditions apply:

  • Returns must be requested within 14 days of delivery.
  • Items must be returned in their original, unused and undamaged condition, in original packaging where possible.
  • To arrange a return, contact us first via the contact page — do not send items back without prior authorisation.
  • Return postage or collection costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless the item was sent in error or is faulty.
  • Refunds will be processed within 5–10 working days of receiving the returned goods and confirming their condition.

Items That Cannot Be Returned

The following items cannot be returned unless faulty:

  • Bespoke or cut-to-order items (including crash barrier rails cut to non-standard lengths, custom post configurations, or any item modified to your specification)
  • Items that have been installed, used, painted, drilled or otherwise modified
  • Items where packaging has been damaged beyond reasonable inspection

Faulty or Damaged Goods

If you receive an item that is damaged in transit or faulty, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs and your order number. We will arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate at no cost to you.
